MediaHistory.ch is an association for media historians in Switzerland bringing together scholars from different fields with research interests in media history, such as archivists, scholars and curators from museums to advance the study of media history in Switzerland. Its scope is to facilitate exchange between scholars and professionals in Switzerland who work on topics related to media history as well as with researchers working outside of Switzerland but with a focus on Swiss media history.
The association aims to establish collaborations across disciplines, drawing connections between scholarly fields, Swiss universities, as well as public and private institutions. It aims to provide mentoring and support for PhD students in the field of media history.
The association MediaHistory.ch was founded in 2024. It emerged from the former network of MediaHistory.ch which met since 2019.
